The Filter List is built and maintained by one person. If something isn't working, you have a question, or you've got an idea to make it better, I'd genuinely like to hear from you.

Common questions
How do I get started?
Add your first asset — your Home, your Auto, your Work, or any category you create. Then add the filters that live in it: a fridge water filter, an HVAC filter, a cabin air filter, anything with a filter you replace. Set the replacement interval, the date you last installed it, and The Filter List handles the rest.
How do reminders work?
You pick how far ahead you want the heads up — 30 days before a filter is due, 7 days, whatever fits the rhythm of your life. The Filter List sends a push notification on the day. You can add a second reminder closer to the date, and pick what time of day notifications arrive.
What's the difference between filters and parts?
A filter is the slot — the air filter in your HVAC, the water filter in your fridge. A part is the physical replacement you keep on hand. One part can fit several filters (the same HVAC model in two rooms, for example), so The Filter List tracks them separately. When a filter is due, you can see at a glance whether you already have a matching part stocked.
How do I back up my data or move it to a new phone?
The Filter List can export everything — assets, filters, reminders, parts, photos, history, and settings — into a single backup file. Save it wherever you like, on your device or in your own cloud storage, then restore it on another device to bring back your full list. The backup is yours, so you're always in control of where it lives.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything stays on your device. The Filter List has no accounts, no servers, no tracking, and no ads, and the developer never sees your data. You can read the full details in the Privacy Policy.
Why does The Filter List ask for camera and photo access?
Only so you can add reference photos of replacement parts — a picture of the box, the part number, anything that helps you find the right one next time. Those photos stay on your device as part of your catalog and are never uploaded.
Why does The Filter List ask to send notifications?
So it can remind you before each filter is due. All the scheduling happens on your device — no email, no account, no server in the loop. If you'd rather not get notifications, you can turn them off entirely from the Reminders settings screen.
I found a bug, or I have an idea.
Please email me. The clearer you can be about what happened (and what you expected to happen), the faster I can sort it out.
